Panoptic Sentiment – Happy NewYuHaMaKwaSaBoSolMas

Light of NewYuHaMaKwaSaPaSolMas image

THE panoptic sentiment, “NewYuHaMaKwaSaBoSolMas” which covers a whole lot of traditions so you don’t offend and hopefully include everyone. They all have something in common which in my point of view is the act of celebrating light, each in different ways.

Celebration of the Inner and Outer Light

  • The light of the spark of life in a day of birth – Christmas (birth of Jesus as it’s observed), Newtonmas (birth of Isaac Newton, Mawlid (birth of Muhammad as it’s observed)
  • The light of the sun as its reborn toward longer days – Solstice, Yule, New Years day (western observance)
  • The inner light of illumination of spirit within us – Bodhi Day
  • The honoring of the presence of light when all else seems dark, both physical and spiritual – Hanukkah
  • The acknowledgement of our inner light that inspires us to know our deeper spiritual nature – Solstice
  • The honoring of the outer light of illumination upon our cultural heritage – Kwanzaa
  • The order of light as knowledge that creates structure within chaos – Saturnalia

However you choose to celebrate light, I hope you truly enjoy being in the presence of others, and enjoy the illumination within your own presence.

Happy NewYuHaMaKwaSaBoSolMas!!!
